DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE
The defensive driving, also known as predictive driving, or anticipating, is a training for motor vehicle drivers that goes beyond the simple mastery of the rules of the road because includes a specific ability to anticipate potential risk situations. Its goal is to reduce accidents by preventing the dangers before they take emergency connotations. The dangers to be expected can obviously consist in adverse weather situations or mistakes or maneuvers committed by other drivers, cyclists or pedestrians. But the dangers comes not just from "others", sometimes they are born from the same driver's moods: rush, excitement, stress of traffic are situations that can lead to dangerous behaviors and choices. Thus the Socratic "Know yourself" complete all our teaching offer on prevention that is recognized in the right concept of "Mental Balance". In fact, our purpose is not to create drivers able to face the dangers, but drivers able to prevent them. To develop the needs of defensive driving, GuidarePilotare has work out a own specific program, based on over thirtyfive years of experience in safe driving: the course "Predictive Driving". The ability to prevent also assumes a series of "technical" skills in addition to knowledge of the dangers on the road: this involves practical training specifies that convinces the driver about the dangers of speeding causing him to experience a different speed, to measure also visually the stopping distances; allows him to try and understand the different grip conditions and responses of the vehicle, facing unexpected obstacles to discover the difficulty of avoiding them if you have not adopted a correct attitude on the speed estimate. Attitude to adopt a positive defensive driving (prevent) evolve so by an experience where you will discover the difficulties of the negative defensive driving (treat) the face of obstacles, because prevention is better than cure!

Who wants to make progress in sports relies on a "coach" that improves his skills. We do it for driving. Our thirtyfive years of experience in safe driving is available to the driver in order to improve its ability to assess the potential risks to driving and to adapt their behavior. The instructor focuses on the results of the driver's actions in traffic and suggests methods, techniques and strategies to make best use of his personal resources finalizing the result to an increase in safety levels. In the traffic safety is primarily the prevention of risk situations: appropriate training for the driver is realized so through a "personal coaching" that develops the correct attitude to driving that goes from the consciousness of social responsibility and of the dangers on the road, to the achievement of right "mental balance" fact of knowledge and awareness. To obtain appropriate behaviors is necessary to know the problems related to the vehicle and the trip in the different traffic conditions and weather; but it also needs an education that addresses and analyzes the main situations of road accident record, the stress of traffic and the most at-risk behaviors. This is ensured by a common lecture and testing practices in traffic with the instructor who, on board with the student on the road, shall draw up a diagnostic profile considering his attitude and his skills at the wheel; later offering him training opportunities to improve guidance, increase its ability to predict the potential risk situations, enhance his perceptive abilities. The course is held with company cars, but you can also do so with cars equipped with BMW Videotelemetria® to resume any time driving by offering an additional educational support. This course offers you the opportunity to train employees to drive near your company office, avoiding the costs and risks associated with each trip.
